On retreat, together

In addition to our programme of retreats and courses, we can also offer retreats to groups or we can hire rooms to groups who wish to meet in St Beuno’s for a day or for a residential event run by themselves.

As our programme of silent retreats runs throughout most of the year, we ask all groups to respect the atmosphere of quiet in St Beuno’s and its grounds.

We do try to ensure that the meeting room & accommodation we provide allows for the freedom of conversation etc. desired by a group.

Please note, the availability of these rooms will depend on the St Beuno’s programme and early booking is advised. For larger groups a booking may need to be made as much as 12 to 18 months in advance.

Facilities for groups

We have a number of meeting rooms.
Smaller  rooms for up to 4 people.
A couple of meeting room for about 15 people.
Larger meeting / conference rooms for between 20 and 70 people.

Residential accommodation for groups

We welcome groups who want to run their own retreat or residential gathering. If groups wish to book at a time when there are also silent retreats being held, we ask them to ensure that the atmosphere of prayer and quiet is maintained in the house and in the grounds. As well as the bedrooms in the main house, we also have a number of cottages which could be booked for a group if they are available.

Rhewl Cottage has four ensuite bedrooms, a sitting room and kitchen

The ‘Top Cottages’

The ‘Top Cottages’ consist of a 2 bedroom (standard) a 3 bedroom (standard) and a 4 bedroom (ensuite) plus two self-contained ensuite studio rooms.  This offers accommodation for up to 11 people.

Fronshade Cottage

Fronshade Cottage will be developed later in 2022 and we hope, then, to offer it with five ensuite rooms and a small sitting room and kitchenette – all rooms will have a stunning view out over the valley.

Book private quiet time

Individuals can spend the day in silence and may use the chapels for prayer. You can take advantage of the grounds and can book in for lunch in the dining room.

Groups can book a meeting room and use the facilities of the house.
