CREATIVITY AND IMAGINATION IN PRAYER

January 18-23, 2013

Was the peak of your creativity and imagination at Infant School? For many of us prayer has been presented as words and more words - and often words we barely understand and certainly never use in daily life. God created both sides of our brain, and can often reach us better with creative side. If you are one of those people who tell themselves "I am not creative" or "I have no imagination" then this workshop is defintely for you.

We take a very practical look at many different ways awakening the creative and imaginative in order to better tap into our emotional and affective life and so communicate to self, God and others what really moves us - our deeper desires.

For each way of prayer presented there will be the opportunity to hear about it, experience it, take time with it and then share with others the fruits of the different ways of praying.

This course is not a silent retreat but rather a workshop on creative ways of prayer.

We shall include:

Scripture in prayer using Lectio Divina and Imaginative Contemplation.

The Body and Prayer

Sharing Prayer

God in daily life

Examen of consciousness
