St
Beuno's recently re-organised their catering to move away from using
much frozen food and pre-prepared sauces to offer more home-cooked meals
and fresh vegetables. Most regulars visitors to St Beuno's have
noticed this change and like it.
Breakfast
- A variety of cereals, cornflakes, museli, bran flakes
etc.
- Hot porridge, a variety of fresh fruit as well as
apple puree or prunes
- Toast and marmalade, honey or jam
- Delicious locally produced fruit or plain yogurt
- Grilled bacon, eggs, tomatoes (except on Friday)
- Coffee, teas, fruit-juice, milk
Lunch
- Main Course - varies daily; all meals produced in-house.
We offer a wide variety of meals on a monthly cycle anything from
roast beef, two veg, potatoes and all the trimmings of a Sunday
Dinner to a mild chicken curry with naan bread and popadums or fresh
fish chips and peas.
- Salad table is usually available at both lunch and
supper.
- Dessert - there is a wide selection of appetising
desserts both hot and cold.
- Cheese and biscuits and fresh fruit are also available.
- Finish with fresh coffee or teas
Evening Meal
- Starter - usually home-made soup
- Main Course plus salad bar.
Our evening meal is somewhat lighter but usually hot and still substantial.
Special Diets
Our chefs can cater for vegetarian and vegan diets as well as most
allergies and intollerancies.
Please ensure that you mention any special diets on your booking form.
If you have multiple intollerances or a very restricted diet please
contact us before making a booking. Our chefs have only a limited
time to cook for up to 80 people so cannot manage too many individual
meals on any single retreat.
Please let us know at least two weeks before you are due to arrive
if you will need any special foods; as we do not carry a stock of items
such as soya milk, gluten-free food we need to order these in before
you come.
