FINDING GOD IN BEAUTY

March 10-15, 2013

Beauty speaks to us of the Creator God. Here we offer a week to get in touch with a God who is to be glimpsed in poetry, sight, sound, taste, touch and scent. Our focus is on sharing experience and allowing beauty to speak.

From the beauty of a spring sunset, to the fragrance of a flower; from beautiful orchestral sounds to the delight of taste; from a gentle touch to the enjoyment of words in poetry and prose; every sense provides us with different experiences of beauty.

The St Beuno's team will lead the group in a reflective way to experience beauty under various guises, and encounter the Creator in creation. Human beings are co-creators with God of the beautiful, but can at times mar the beautiful by misusing creation.
We shall reflect on how we can best work with God in creating beauty.

The programme will consist in presentations, time to reflect, pray and enjoy beauty in its various forms.

Participants in this programme will join with the 3-month programme. Participants should arrive before 6pm on the 10th of March and the programme finishes with lunch on the 15th.
